Does this sound like you?

"I'm not good enough."

"Everyone is ahead of me."

"Why doesn't my family understand my boundaries?"

"My partner didn't answer... they are going to break up with me!"

"I can't let anyone see that I'm anxious."

"It feels like I have to manage everyone else's emotions."

"Why am I not over [trauma] already? It wasn't that big of a deal."

"Do all my friends hate me?"

"I get that I have a past but why is it popping up NOW?"

"It seems like everyone else has an easier time balancing it all."

"Why haven't I figured out who I am yet?"

"I'm so fucking burnt out."

That is SO REAL. There are a lot of pressures coming from family, society, jobs, and partners that can lead us to feel overwhelmed and incapable of feeling our best. Let's help you quiet these thoughts and live your life the way you want to.

WHAT'S YOUR STORY?
Hi, I'm Shannon. One of my favorite parts of being a therapist is witnessing the relief, growth, and insight clients gain during the therapeutic process. While the path is unique to everyone, change is possible.

Have you noticed different parts of yourself fighting against one another? That's normal. Our inner world is constantly trying to make sure we feel okay, whether or not it's actually helpful.
Perhaps one part of you is saying "I'm fine, I can handle it" while another part is dreading the next day.

Perhaps one part of you is saying "I shouldn't be scared of this" while another is exhausted from constant hypervigilence.

Perhaps one part of you is saying "They didn't mean to" while another is angry about being taken advantage of.

This is so normal, and can be draining to manage alone. Your experience is important, and you deserve to feel heard, understood, and on a path towards healing. Both talk therapy and EMDR are wonderful paths to feeling better.

I look forward to hearing your story. Contact me today to schedule your first session or EMDR program.
